Freshmill Forum September 2026
Freshmill Forum is a monthly event that brings together our members and the wider local business community to share practical knowledge and connect with one another.
Each session features a short, 20-30 minute presentation from a Freshmill member on a transferrable skill, allowing time afterwards for questions, to network and of course take advantage of the excellent array of cake we like to offer on these occasions!
For this event, we will be joined by Gary Morgan from Gary Morgan Coaching. Gary is a Fractional Sales Director, trainer and coach with more than 30 years’ experience in sales, leadership, and customer service. He works with business owners, leaders, and teams to improve performance through stronger conversations, clearer leadership, and a practical approach built on integrity and Emotional Intelligence.
In his talk, Making Every Conversation Count, Gary will explore how everyday business conversations shape trust, relationships and results. Whether we are speaking with a customer, leading a team member, handling a difficult situation or trying to win new business, the way we communicate can influence what happens next.
Gary will share practical ideas for approaching conversations with greater clarity, curiosity, and confidence, including how to listen more effectively, ask better questions, and respond rather than react. The session will help attendees reflect on the conversations they are already having and identify simple ways to make them more productive, more human and more effective.
The central question Gary will explore is:
“What difference could one better conversation make to your business?”
If you have a contract at Freshmill then feel free just to come along. If you don’t, please click the link below to secure your complimentary ticket. Numbers are limited so we recommend you book promptly.

We often get new members joining the HHBA who have quite a few questions in order to get themselves up and running and making the most out of their membership, and for existing members who wish to become more involved in the business community and learn how to maximise their membership, this is a valuable meeting to learn more about the association.
Benefits of membership include:
- Showcasing your business through our online directory and website whilst improving your SEO
- Highlighting your business and news through our weekly newsletter
- Develop relationships and grow your network at our meetings
- Utilise our peer to peer support service via ‘HHBA Connectors’
- Spotlight the brilliant products and services your business can provide on our member offer page and receive exclusive member to member discounts
- Broaden your expertise and knowledge by joining our ‘Meet the Expert’ sessions covering issues such as HR, Legal, IT, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Growth
- Continuing to work closely with our Councils, MP and other organisations on local matters and highlight grants and business initiatives to our members
To help answer these questions and to be a point of contact, Sue Llewellyn our Business Manager will set up a drop in sessions each month at Freshmills Co-Working Offices. (Freshmill, Delta House, 16 Bridge Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 1UA)
Please email Sue Llewellyn on admin@hhba.co.uk to make an appointment if you are thinking of dropping in.
Member Testimonials
At Shredded Neat we have been members of the HHBA for a little while now and I didn’t realise how much more we could do with our membership! Spending half an hour with Sue was fantastic and it was so valuable to understand all the options that are available for us and I came away with a list of activities that will really help support us. I would highly recommend the drop in session and taping into Sue’s extensive knowledge. Nick Maloney – Shredded Neat
My drop-in session with Sue was incredibly useful and gave me a much deeper understanding of how to make the most of my HHBA membership. Sue is so knowledgeable about the association and fellow members and she provided tailored advice that will definitely help me move my business forward. Whether you’re a new member or have been around for years, I highly recommend booking a session with Sue to unlock all the valuable benefits the HHBA has to offer. Alex Rickard – Alex Rickard Photography
If you want to get the most out of your membership to the HHBA, I definitely recommend joining Sue at one of the regular drop-in sessions. It is such a good way to find out more about membership benefits and reignite your links with the local business community. Sue has lots of handy tips on how to get the most out of your membership. Even if you’ve been a member for years, it is well worth booking a session. I’ll definitely be back! Louise Beasley – Digital Ads Strategist
We have been long term members of HHBA and have enjoyed various events and marketing opportunities offered over the years in a somewhat ad hoc fashion! We are looking to drive the company forward over the next couple of years so spending some time with Sue to find out in more detail what HHBA offers has been of great value. Together we have crafted an effective approach to enable me to promote PDP services, gain valuable introductions to potential customers and meet other businesses that can support us as we grow. James Neeter – PDP Services
I cannot think of a better way to fully undertstand and make the most of my HHBA membership than to spend half an hour in the company of Sue Llewellyn… Thank you Gibson Blanc

Build your connections and grow your network
HHBA invite you to join us and the local business community on October 1st for a relaxed coffee morning at Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity. Enjoy coffee and croissants and a chance to connect with fellow local businesses.
It’s a relaxed morning where you can chat, share ideas, and get to know a little more about each other, all fuelled by good coffee and even better conversation.
Come and discover how specialist early intervention can transform the lives of young children with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments and meet the team behind our life-changing services.
As Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity celebrates its 25th anniversary, we’d love to welcome you to our Centre to learn more about the work we do and the difference early support can make for children and their families.
Whether you’re already connected to the Charity or discovering us for the first time, we’d be delighted to welcome you as we celebrate 25 years of supporting children and families across the community.
Venue: Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity | Rennie Building | Chailey Heritage Foundation | Haywards Heath Road | North Chailey | East Sussex | BN8 4EF

When the Team is the focus: A Different Approach to Improving Business Performance
We are delighted to welcome you to Burgess Hill Girls to celebrate the power of collaboration between education and business. Enjoy a selection of drinks and canapes whilst mingling with fellow members.
A school’s impact extends far beyond the classroom, and we believe that preparing young people for their future is a responsibility best shared with the wider community. As an active member of the local business community, we value the relationships we have with organisations across the region and the opportunities they create for our students.
This evening’s theme, resonates strongly with our own purpose. Every day, we seek to develop the skills, confidence, resilience and ambition that will enable our students to thrive as the next generation of professionals, innovators and leaders.
Our guest speaker, Zoe Egerickx helps businesses transform how their people work, lead and succeed together through Team Coaching. Built on her formula: Trust + Connection + Action = Success, Zoe will reveal how coaching the team is the most effective way to unlock higher performance, build stronger relationships and achieve lasting results. Listen out for the scenarios and challenges that resonate with your own team, and ask yourself: what might be possible if the team, rather than the individual, became the focus of development?
Thank you for joining us this evening and for the role you play in nurturing talent, driving innovation and helping the next generation realise their potential. We look forward to continuing to work together to create opportunities, inspire ambition, and shape a brighter future for our community.
Venue: Burgess Hill Girls School, Keymer Road, Burgess Hill, RH15 0EG
