Chichester College Group is proud to be part of the HHBA – a vibrant and exciting business networking community. It is a fantastic forum to network with like-minded business leaders; building new relationships and partnerships.
We are a Project Management company providing office Fit Out both locally and across the UK. Over the last three years we have received a warm welcome from Sue and the rest of the team and have benefitted hugely from being part of this dynamic and forward thinking networking organisation. Membership has given us the opportunity to showcase our services through the online Directory and website, and we’ve enjoyed the regular networking events that have allowed us to benefit from member to member discounts for services, as well as generally being able to share ideas and local business knowledge with like-minded individuals. Referrals is key to this organisation and I see weekly evidence of members recommending the services of other members in the local community. Membership has also given us exposure to Local Government representatives as there is a continued collaborative relationship between the local business community and the council. This, combined with access to ‘Meet the Expert’ events (covering all aspects of business critical areas such as finance, legal, sales and marketing) has been a really useful tool for our business when we have needed advise, also an easy way to build up a network of professional expertise locally, which we can ‘dip’ into should the need arise. Membership is very fairly priced and we have found the weekly newsletter both informative and a great way to spotlight the services we can offer on a regular basis. There is a real feel of community within this organisation and members are genuinely keen to help one another grow and succeed. The monthly meetings are informative and welcoming! It is a good start to the day.
I have been a member of HHBA for some years now. As a small business owner it offers me networking, collaboration opportunities and a chance to learn from others be it formally through an Ask the Expert session or just chewing the fat with a fellow member over a glass of something. Definitely worth the membership fee.
I just wanted to drop you a brief line to say a huge thank you to you (and the committee) for all your hard work during 2020. Despite being a new member and never actually having met any of you in person, you’ve all made me feel welcome and part of the local business community. I am also a member of other organisations and I can honestly say what you’ve been doing, how you’ve been doing it, and the sheer quality of content, events, attendees and everything else, has been head and shoulders above the rest during this tough period. Really looking forward to sharing a glass of wine and a hug/cry/laugh about this year in person when we can meet up.
I’ve only attended a couple of HHBA events so far but have been struck by the energy of the group and how easy it’s been to meet people. You don’t need to be a ‘professional’ networker to get a lot out of it.
Since joining the HHBA a few years ago, I can only describe our experience as positive: HHBA are a proactive organisation and host several varied events throughout the year, suitable for all types of businesses including networking and social events. The former allow us to network with like-minded businesses and the latter are fun events which also serve as an excellent networking platform. This is apart from numerous training events. Membership has also helped to raise our profile in the region and through the various events given us access to clients and those that refer work. In short membership is a good investment and one we would recommend.
We have found membership of HHBA to be the best way to raise our profile in the local business community and get to know key contacts in the area, while in the process helping to build valuable long term relationships with a variety of different people. We enjoy attending the monthly gatherings which are always interesting and lead to some useful conversations, while we have also received some good feedback from posting news items about our firm in the weekly newsletter, as well as on occasion being one of its sponsors.
I joined HHBA to meet new businesses and contacts in a relaxed environment. The HHBA has a diverse range of friendly members who I like to do business with.
As a member of the HHBA this has been such a go to resource for me, particularly over the past year. It has been the most challenging in the life of my events business and there have been some dark days, however, there has always been the amazing encouragement of my community within the HHBA. I have been so impressed with the level of support and communication within the association from virtual events, telephone calls from committee members checking that I am ok to support with governmental grants and advice. I strongly recommend any local business to join this community there is so much available and all on your doorstep. It has been my lifeline during the pandemic, and I look forward to many successful years with the association moving forward.
I have been involved with the Haywards Heath Business Association since being elected as MP for Mid Sussex in 2019. They are a professional organisation that supports its members to grow their business and local jobs, developing relationships between businesses, and to provide direct links to local Councils and their MP, which the HHBA has strong engagements and a good working relationship with. HHBA is a fantastic positive group, who will help shape our recovery and help Mid Sussex to thrive.
