IFA Mike Oliver Associates have set the wheels in motion for their latest fundraising effort, the 10th Greater Haywards Heath Bike Ride 2023.
Mike Oliver, who runs the Haywards Heath-based firm of financial advisors, is also chairman of the Bike Ride committee.
An avid cyclist himself, Mike Oliver has become a mainstay in the local community for raising funds through active and sporting events. Previous initiatives have included sponsorship of Brighton2Brussels, HSBC UK Cyclo-Cross National Trophy Round 3, and earlier Greater Haywards-Heath Bike Rides.
“It’s always a joy to take part in the Haywards Heath Bike Ride, and sponsoring the event made perfect sense for us,” says Mike. “As a firm, we’re passionate about financial and physical well-being.
“We help people across Mid Sussex with later life planning, and what better way to stay active than getting involved this year! It’s a chance to come along and try one of the routes, while helping good causes and at the same time having some fun.”
Founded in 2013, the ride takes place on Sunday 14 May with all proceeds going to local charities KnowDementia and Mid-Sussex Parkinson’s via The Rotarians of Cuckfield, Lindfield and Haywards Heath.
Registration for the Bike Ride begins at 7.30am and there are four routes available for participants. These include a family-friendly 12-mile route to the “Wiggins Way” and an impressive 74-mile journey for cyclists wanting a true challenge.
