The winners of the Best UK Vet Award 2021 were revealed with The Mewes Vets, located in West Sussex, being named as the Best in County in the UK.
The awards organised by VetHelpDirect.com and running for the ninth year, are based on genuine pet owner reviews of veterinary practices around the United Kingdom and count up the number of online four and five star reviews from their customers over the last year.
Susie Samuel, CEO of VetHelpDirect.com commented: “Choosing the right vet is an important and difficult decision for a new pet owner. Vet practices are all very different with their own unique characteristics and it can be challenging to understand all those differences and find the best match. This is why hearing from existing clients via online reviews is so helpful; many of the reviews describe detailed stories of first-hand experiences which helps owners get a really good feel for the practice. BestUKVets is a lovely opportunity to reward the practices that are at the top of their game”.
Dr Julia Mewes commented “We are absolutely thrilled to be recognised in this way. our whole team have been working incredibly hard, through an extraordinary year. They have never lost their passion for caring, despite every challenge. We would like to thank all the lovely clients whose testimonials brought us the fantastic accolade of being Best Vet in West Sussex.”
Suzanne Jarvis said “Many congratulations to Julia and the team for winning this award. I have always found them to look after my pets during each visit with the utmost care and professionalism – the reason why I have been a customer for the last 20 years. This is so well deserved.”
The overall UK winning practice was Cockburn Veterinary Group, Leicestershire. Silver was awarded Millennium Veterinary Practice, in Braintree and Bronze to Streatham Hill Veterinary Surgery, London. Each of these practices also won a Top 25 award, plus Best in County.
