Rob Thomas – RAB Sept 2022

In September 2022, HHBA Member Rob Thomas will be cycling 970 miles (yes 970 miles) over 9 days to Support Cancer Research UK. The ride will be from Land’s End to John O’Groats, so no mean feat !!!

At Cancer Research UK they receive no Government funding for their research, so their life-saving work is only possible thanks to people like you.

The estimated lifetime risk of being diagnosed with cancer is 1 in 2 (50%) for males, and 1 in 2 (45%) for females born after 1960 in the UK.

When you donate money, you help their scientists get closer to finding a cure.

They fund clinical trials to bring new cancer treatments to patients as quickly and safely as possible.

There has been a lot of press recently in both the National and local media regarding cancer deaths. It seems this, and other horrid diseases are being over looked due to the attention on COVID, and avoidable deaths could have been prevented, so giving a donation could fund something as big as a new research centre, or as small as glass slides to analyse cancer cells.

As you may, or may not know I have personally been affected by Cancer so to aid research into finding a cure would be great.

More information on how CRUK is helping patients and families can be found on my donation page below. This page is managed 100% by Cancer Research UK, and I have met the costs of the accommodation and travel to and from the event, so your donation goes 100% to CRUK.

You can follow my training and when I am at the event on my dedicated Facebook page –

Thank you in advance.
