Help support local businesses and browse, book and buy with ShopAppy.com

The ShopAppy team joined MSDC’s Economic Development team in The Orchards Shopping Centre in Haywards Heath last week to officially launch the ShopAppy platform in Haywards Heath and surrounding villages including Lindfield and Cuckfield.

MSDC partnered with ShopAppy earlier this year to create an online presence for Mid Sussex’s independent retailers, with free access to the ShopAppy.com platform until March 2023.  The response locally has been fantastic, with well over 100 businesses now signed up to the platform across the district and more still joining!

To celebrate the launch there were reusable ‘Pop to the Shops’ tote bags to give away and the chance to win a ShopAppy.com voucher, with the ShopAppy team out and about talking to independent businesses and a further 30 businesses signing up that day – a record number for the ShopAppy team!

With a growing selection of retailers on the platform consumers can now support ‘local’ by using the platform to browse, book and buy from the wide and wonderful range of businesses registering with the site.  Mid Sussex businesses have been grouped together geographically around the three town centres with separate pages for Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, East Grinstead and their surrounding areas so have a browse to see what new businesses you can discover. Log on to ShopAppy.com and enter any of the above three locations to see the businesses signed up so far in each area. As new businesses sign up they are helped to get started on the site and upload their products so keep checking back to see how the site is growing and what’s new.

With ShopAppy.com customers can browse, book and buy or get a convenient home delivery from numerous local shops and businesses in their area. Shops and businesses who join ShopAppy are given their own “online shop” within their location. The platform acts as a digital shop window to influence local footfall, ensuring people can see all of the things they can do and places they can shop locally all in one place, it also enables people to order items from home, if they feel less comfortable or are not able to go out and visit in person.

Local businesses that are yet to join the platform can find out more by joining one of the online product uploading sessions at https://landing.shopappy.com/en/productloading or contact the team directly or call on 07881 943732.

ShopAppy.com is a multi-award-winning digital platform founded by Dr Jackie Mulligan in 2016 (long before the pandemic) to revive British High Streets by providing a local, town-based online platform with its own “shops” so that small businesses could compete with the online retail giants. As well as the local site, businesses that have products available for posting, can have their items promoted nationally too on ShopLocalOnline.org.

There will be a final launch in East Grinstead for the north of the district, with another chance to win a ShopAppy voucher, learn more and pick up a free Pop to the Shops tote bag (while stocks last).
