We are pleased to announce that our first guest speaker will be Barney Durrant from Bluebell Marketing who will go through how to get your business listed on Google Maps, how to optimise your website and content to boost your presence on Google Search and finally how to launch and optimise a Google Ads campaign to sell products or bring leads to your business.

Our second speaker is Emma Warner from The IT Girl Sussex. In today’s fast-paced business world, finding ways to save time, money, and energy is crucial for small business owners. One effective strategy is to leverage the power of software solutions. However, with so many options available, it can be overwhelming to determine which software will truly deliver on its promises. We will explore various types of software, including open source, that can help small business owners streamline their operations and achieve cost savings. From inventory management to project management, time tracking to communication tools, we will cover it all.

Barney Durrant has more than 20 years experience in the Internet industry, including 7 years working on digital campaigns for well known brands at Google in London. He has been running his own digital marketing consultancy, Bluebell Marketing, for nearly 10 years and helps businesses with Google Ads, SEO, social media advertising, content marketing, analytics and training on digital platforms. Clients include businesses in the south east of England, Europe and the US.

Emma has a background in information systems, programme management, business development and database design. Emma started her career 28 years ago in programme management with Thales, providing bespoke full flight simulators to both civil and military customers. Customers include Airbus, British Airways, Indra, Oxford Aviation, and the Ministry of Defence, working on the Eurofighter project. Later Emma worked in Business Development for a consultancy company specialising in monitoring and evaluating of Humanitarian Development projects funded by the United Nations, World Bank, DFID, European Commission, and the Asian Development Bank. With a passion for IT, Emma founded The IT Girl Sussex in 2015 providing personalised solutions that are both effective and efficient to both small business and residential customers.
