The Government have just announced a local business grant fund scheme that may be of interest to you.

Please see their website for further information.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/top-up-to-local-business-grant-funds-scheme

As this announcement indicates further guidance for local authorities will be set out shortly.  I promise to keep the Business Associations and local businesses fully updated.

If you have been affected financially by the current situation you may wish to register your interest in this scheme, please do so at https://www.grantapproval.co.uk/

On the right-hand side of the web page you will see Businesses who have property related Expenses.

Under this is a button (Information about the scheme can be found here).  Please sign up for information here.

The website will keep you informed and update you.

May I please also remind you that if any business pays business rates to Mid Sussex District Council (or are liable for Business Rates and do not pay as they get full relief meaning they have nothing to pay) and has not yet claimed a business grant they may be entitled to please go to our website at https://www.midsussex.gov.uk/revsandbens/business-rates/new-grants-for-business-rates/ for further information.  You will need to complete a form at https://www.grantapproval.co.uk/ for us to pay you any business grant if you do qualify (this is on the left hand side of the website).  If you were liable for Business Rates at the 11th March 2020 and are unsure if you meet the criteria to qualify for a business grant please email us at businesssupport@midsussex.gov.uk.  To date Mid Sussex DC has awarded over £21m grants to 1,646 local businesses.

Please let me know if you need additional information

Thank you
