Calling all HHBA members – A fresh events programme for 2021 – speakers needed!

In response to the recent Government roadmap to ease lockdown, we wanted to give the HHBA members an update on our events programme for 2021.

We know that our events are one of the most important features for many of the HHBA membership. Zoom has been an incredible tool for keeping our network together over the last 12 months and we are grateful to every speaker and member who has attended our online events. However, we understand that many of our members are keen to get back to meeting back in-person and networking with colleagues and peers around the area.

With cautious optimism we are therefore putting together a new programme for Q3 & Q4 2021 which will feature in-person events from June 2021. Until this date, sessions will remain virtual.

The 2021 programme will focus on networking opportunities, with experts across a range of fields offering local businesses advice on hot topics.

We are kicking off with our two new committee members, Paul Boon and Katie Morhen, discussing how events can be delivered in the COVID-era and measures the industry needs to be aware of to operate safely at this time. Paul and Katie have a wealth of events and hospitality expertise and will be working with venues to ensure procedures are adhered to.

We are also looking for HHBA experts in the following fields to take part in our Meet the Expert programme over the coming months.

  • Brexit: 6 months on
  • Cybersecurity
  • Training
  • Team management and unifying staff
  • Social media
