26 May Business Grants-Mid Sussex District Council
So far Mid Sussex DC has paid to nearly 1,850 local business nearly £23.5m of business grants. But many business grants are still unclaimed.
The Government introduced business grants of £10,000 or £25,000 to support small businesses during the present uncertain times caused by COVID19. These are one off payments, based on business rates liability at the 11th March 2020. The payments will be made to the ratepayer at this time and there will be one payment per property.
Could I please remind local businesses that any qualifying businesses in Mid Sussex District Council area if you have yet to claim please complete the online form at www.GrantApproval.co.uk (its a third party form provided by the Council). Once this is completed in full we will process and any qualifying businesses will have money transferred to their bank accounts as quickly as we can (normally within 3 or 4 working days). Further information on these business grants including the criteria is available at https://www.midsussex.gov.uk/revsandbens/business-rates/new-grants-for-business-rates/
If any business is in doubt if they qualify for a grant or any other business rates relief they are welcome to contact me.
