Brighton Main Line Improvement Project | 9-day line closure reminder

Dear Stakeholder,

Please be reminded that works on the Brighton Main Line will continue this weekend.  Work will include:

  • Balcombe Tunnel Junction preparation
  • Ballast Cleaning
  • Track works from Haywards Heath to Keymer Junction
  • We will also be replacing the third rail which carries power to the trains using large on track machines.

9 DAYS TO GO to the 9-day Line closures!
With the imminent 9-day line closure, please ensure you keep yourself up to date with travel advice information and details of any impacts on station car parks. Please always check your journey before you travel on the National Rail Journey Planner

Season ticket holders will be eligible to apply for free car parking in the Gatwick area, for easy train connections to London. You may already have heard from GTR but for ease of reference, to take advantage of this offer, please email by Friday, 8 February 2019, stating: Your email address, Your vehicle registration number, Your approximate daily arrival time and Your Rail Season Ticket number.

We would like to thank you for your support to date – as a final push, please share this information with colleagues and customers so they can plan ahead.  The business toolkit has been updated with any information you may need. Should you need any additional information to help your teams formulate a plan, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
