11 Mar Association of Profesional Landscapers Awards 2020 – Friday 13th March
Paul from InsideOut Home & Garden Improvements Ltd is very proud to share his excitement that 2 of his local Landscaping Projects, from last year have been selected in 3 separate award categories in this Fridays APL – Association of Professional Landscaping awards to be held in London.
Categories £20-35,000 and Hard Landscaping Finalist
Penryn, Crowborough – Having purchased a large period property in Crowborough our clients wished to carry some extensive internal renovation and landscaping. The different areas were broken down in to separate phases and carried out over several years.
InsideOut carried all the landscaping works at both the front and rear of the property.
The front driveway project included garden clearance, replacing the old lead water main, electrics, drainage, new front walls, steel railings, fencing, drainage, soft landscaping/planting and a large block paved driveway.
The Project re-used all the old bricks from the garage, and patio paving from the around the property as hardcore under the driveway. We also cleaned and re-used all of the exsisting site sandstone in the front garden walls and other areas.
In addition, a large bespoke children’s play area was constructed at the end of the garden in a large disused space with climbing frame and hidden underground “Hobbits” style den build completely out of waste materials and garden waste.
Category £65-80,000 – Liverton House, Haywards Heath.
Having recently completed a rear of house extension for an open plan kitchen, the client’s wanted a garden redesign to compliment the kitchen/open plan living area to include modern materials.
Requiring a high spec patio wrapping around the rear of the property with sufficient drainage due to sloping gardens and soil type. Decorative walls, composite decking, fencing, increased lawn area to reduce border maintenance and affordable retaining walls, the client took on InsideOut after a recommendation from their architect Rob Thomas.
There was a permanent free-flowing stream running through the garden being fed by at least 3 underground springs that required a complete re-build, widening and reinforcing. The main part of the garden required significant clearance, levelling, new structural boundary fences and an affordable retaining solution. Due to the location and soil type of the garden, a significant drainage solution was put in place for all areas.
The garden was completed to a higher standard than the clients originally expected with their continuous input throughout.
