What is the HHBA?

The HHBA is a trade association whose aim is to support and represent all the businesses and organisations within the greater Haywards Heath area.

We do this by running networking and training events for our members, and by putting forward their collective view and position to local government and other policy makers.

Our membership has fluctuated over the years, reflecting the natural changes in the business landscape. We’d like to grow further, to benefit more businesses and our local community.

The association is run by a volunteer committee, with four appointed officers:
Chair: Clare Jones
Vice Chair: Tony Pearson
Secretary: Caroline Buchan
Treasurer: Ann Druery

The officers are elected each year by our members at the HHBA AGM. They are assisted by a Business Manager, Sue Llewellyn.

Officers and other committee members run the HHBA on a voluntary basis, each giving as much time and expertise as they can.

Committee meetings are also attended by representatives of Haywards Heath Town Council and Mid Sussex District Council.

These meetings, together with our networking events, are prime opportunities to create unparalleled lines of communication between our members and local government: our members can express their views on common issues in a unified voice, whilst policy makers can quickly disseminate information such as grant programmes or strategic planning for the area.
